Beautiful piece. Sinead was a luminescent being who shined bright for a while (like all of us), then left far too early. The depth of her music belies the depth of her pain. She was abused as a child, by her own mother no less. The photo of the pope she tore on SNL was the same photo her mom hung at home for years. This act was as an effort to shed the chains of her torment at the hands of her mom. Sinead did the best she could with what she had. We are left with her transcendent musical brilliance. She is and always will be a child of the light.
