The Swimming Pool

A (semi) fictional account from my childhood.

I was treading water for a half-hour before anyone noticed I was missing. My younger sister Lisa was the first to say something. She wondered why I wasn’t at the breakfast table. My brother Mark added that my bed was empty. My mom launched a search party and I heard them calling my name throughout the house.
