When Frank was young, he was a boxer. I think his bluster about all screenwriters being schmucks was akin to left jabs trying to keep others off balance. His verbal jabs probably helped him win many negotiations in is day. I never took any of his comments personally. He was first off, an aging neighbor with health issues. And second, he was a rare specimen like an albino cobra who you don't get to see very often in the wild. I grew to like Frank immensely. He made me laugh even while he was offensive. He also had amazing stories.
